Lock Out/Tag Out Procedural Development
Hazardous Energy Control and Lock Out/Tag Out are essential components of keeping employees safe in all industries across this country. When employees are to be performing any type of maintenance on equipment that has the potential to store and/or release hazardous energy, OSHA requires employers to implement certain processes to protect employees. This includes things such as identifying potentially hazardous situations, training affected and authorized employees on LOTO standards and procedures, developing written procedures for each piece of applicable equipment, and developing a program that is specific to the business. MSSE has had the opportunity to assist many clients with all aspects of LOTO program development and will work to ensure that any LOTO program that is developed is not only OSHA compliant, but also facility specific.
